That’s a great way to describe it! the refining process is where a lot of the learning really happens. Do you feel like that early experience connects at all to how you approach making now? Sometimes those first pieces shape more than we realize.

That sounds like a fun project and a good way to practice something specific! Are you planning to follow one pattern, or just experiment and see what works as you go?

Technically the first thing I made was basically scrap fabric, but the best feeling is the refining process

I want to crochet a cover for my ps5, I think it’ll be different trying to see the best way to pull that off so I’m on YouTube nd plan to work on it this weekend.

That makes a lot of sense. I think a lot of people come into it the same way, wanting to create something real after spending so much time consuming. Are you thinking more about making things for yourself first or eventually selling them too?

thank you for that, its nice to hear those type of words it takes the pressure and anxiety off when starting something new. But yeah I was having alot of idle time and keeping my hands busy has been something I’ve already done with games and such and now I want to create things and hopefully sale and make a profit. lol

The internet makes everything look so advanced, it’s easy to forget most people started with something really simple.

A good source that I used when I first started crocheting was YouTube, thats where I learn that socks, hats, and blankets were a good place to start when it comes to practicing crochet stitches.
