Maker Spotlights

Maker Spotlights

Discover Makers through what they create, contribute, and bring.

Maker Spotlights recognize people, perspectives, creative practice, and progress worth carrying forward. They are permissioned stories, not a ranking of who belongs and not automatic proof that CLIMB caused a result.

Recognition, shared with care

Meet the Maker without turning recognition into a promise.

A Spotlight can help someone recognize themselves in another maker’s story, discover a different path through making, or see what participation can look like. When a Maker has chosen to share a specific result, CLIMB presents it separately and clearly.

Maker Spotlight for Chin Lamnso Nancy of Nan's Crochet, pictured holding a colorful crochet creation.
Meet Chin Lamnso Nancy, the maker behind Nan's Crochets in Bamenda, Cameroon.
Legacy, learning, and hope stitched into a growing future through handmade craft.
We first shared Nan’s story a while back… but some stories deserve to be told again.
Nancy first picked up a hook as a young girl, learning in secret under the table while her mother studied. A broomstick, yarn scraps, and determination became her first teachers. Years later, she crocheted her first full piece, and she hasn’t stopped since.
For her, crochet isn’t just about orders or sales. It’s a way of making joy. A dream of opening her own shop. A vision of teaching young girls what’s possible.
“Together, we can all make it.”
She’s not just chasing visibility, she’s building a legacy, one stitch, one student, one story at a time.
Want to support her journey? or Follow her here: Nan's Crochets
Leave her a kind word below, she’d love to hear from you.

Sharing something useful is another way to take part.

Resources, lessons, and examples can help another Maker when they are reviewed and matched to what that Maker needs. A Contribution gives useful knowledge back. A Maker Spotlight recognizes who a Maker is and what they bring. Neither should be treated as proof that CLIMB caused a result.

Recognize yourself?

Your next step does not have to look like someone else’s.

Use another maker’s story for recognition or possibility, then bring CLIMB the situation that is actually yours.
